TICKETING
This year there are two locations for the MISAFF film festival. Opening night screening and red carpet will be at the Cineplex Mississauga on the 30th of September at 6 PM. Tickets are available for $150 for the VIP Fundraiser Red Carpet Gala or $50 for the film screening with Q & A. The Festival pass includes this ticket so you do not have to buy it if you have a pass. All other film screenings are at the Cineplex Mississauga or the Living Arts Centre screening room. Regular tickets for the Cineplex Mississauga screenings are available via the link below and off this site. If you want to get tickets to screenings at the Living Arts Centre, they are listed by film name below (scroll down past the schedule). Tickets are also available on site.

MISAFF26 FILM FESTIVAL PASS DETAILS
Festival Pass on sale now. Regular Price $150 but does not include Living Arts Centre Screenings.
Allows you 1 ticket for the opening night film (regular price $60 for the Opening Night Red Carpet Gala or $150 for the Fundraiser). Does not include pre-reception refreshments.
Allows you 1 ticket to every film at the festival (per time slot except Living Arts Centre).
Pass not valid without a ticket.
Please collect your ticket at least 20 minutes before each screening at the venue. Seating not guaranteed.
Does not guarantee entry into the film screening. Priority is given on a first come basis. If you absolutely want to guarantee a film then you have to purchase the ticket for it separately as full ticket holders get priority.
Passes are Non-transferable. Non-refundable. Only one ticket for each time slot. Tickets may be transferred.
Passes DO NOT guarantee entry into specific films. If you want to guarantee a film, please purchase an individual ticket for that film. Individual ticket holders will have priority.

Set in contemporary Iran, A Bit of Light tells the story of a doctor arrested for secretly treating injured protestors. Following the closure of his practice, and with his faith in the future shattered, he decides to take his own life. Determined there is no way forward, he visits his siblings and mother, intending to say goodbye — but things do not go as planned. Encountering affection, concern, and companionship in the presence of his family, the certainty of his decision slowly begins to crumble.
A Bit of Light ultimately asks what might reconnect a person to life when faith in institutions and the future has been exhausted. Throughout his filmography, Ali Asghari has explored individuals caught between personal vulnerability and the pressures of social and institutional structures, and it’s remarkable to witness how beautifully and effortlessly he renders his protagonist’s internal conflict.
