Inside a police station in Dehradun, northern India, Officer Sandhya and her all-woman team take on an unusual role: mediating troubled marriages. Following three couples facing conflicts ranging from everyday disagreements to violence and neglect, the documentary offers a close look at a system that can become a critical source of support for women with few other places to turn.

Co-directors Shashwati Talukdar and Cheryl Hess take an observational approach, moving between emotionally charged mediation sessions and quieter moments of warmth and humour among the officers. Talukdar, who also edited the film, has worked on projects for HBO, BBC and Sundance Channel, while Hess is a filmmaker and cinematographer specializing in observational storytelling.
