Raymond, born and raised in Toronto took to performance at age eleven, during a stint as Young Simba in the Mirvish production of The Lion King in 2001. He has since devoted himself to artistry through drama, music and filmmaking. Raymond has worked extensively in film, TV and commercials. Notable credits include Orphan Black, How to be Indie, Life with Derek and a six year tenure as a series lead on Degrassi. As well, Ray graduated with honours and an arts specialty diploma in choral music from Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts. Currently studying Radio and Television Broadcast at Ryerson University, Ray looks forward to continuing his career in film and TV and the arts. Beyond his career, Ray is an avid traveller, volunteering on school building initiatives in Kenya, Ecuador, India and Haiti with the charity, Free The Children. Stemming from his experiences abroad, Ray works as a motivational speaker on behalf of Free The Children, urging youth audiences across North America to shed apathy and take action to better their communities, locally and globally.
